Any woman that had gone through vaginal yeast infection will never forget the pain and stress that caused by the infection. They are constantly suffering for irritating, burning and soreness at the vaginal. In addition, recurring infection will piss them off and causing them not only suffering from the effect of yeast infection but as well as mental stress and fatigue.
Before we zoom into the treatment suggested, it is wise for us to understand how vaginal yeast infection is developed. The normal bacterium of the vagina is called Gardnerella but the growth is usually kept in balance by another bacteria called lactobacilli. When this symbiosis chain is broken or uneven then the overgrowth of Gardnerella will caused bacterial vaginosis. This happens when the level of lactobacilli is decreased. The antibiotics that you take when you are having fever or flu or you have been using vaginal douches can lead to the decrease of lactobacilli.
When you understand the fundamental of the vaginal yeast infection, it is easy for you to find the solutions. There are plenty of methods to cure it but here I will list down a few as a sharing for those who suffer from vaginal yeast infection.
- Consume at least 200 gm of plain yogurt daily to help the growth of lactobacillus in the vagina, when both the lactobacilli and Gardnerella are well maintained in balance condition then your infection should be cured easily.
- Do not wear synthetic underwear and do not wear tight pants and pantyhose.
- Do not douche your vagina.
- Try to wear more loose cotton clothes to help any sweat in the genital to evaporate easily. Because wet condition is best for the Gardnerella bacteria to grow.
- Take another course of Monistat 7 Combination Pack Vaginal Antifungal Cream with Disposable Applicators which can help you to relief the itching and burning feeling and cure vaginal yeast infections.
If you do not feel better after practicing above steps, please consult a doctor to confirm whether or not it is Bacterial Vaginosis (BV). You will need to consult a doctor and ask for a prescription for metronidazole (usually available as Flagyl). BV sometimes is very difficult to cure and you need to take certain precautions besides taking the antibiotic.
